About the Role

Custom Filters Direct is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic / PLC Controls Technician to support and maintain our automated production equipment. This is a critical role focused on minimizing downtime, troubleshooting issues in real time, and improving overall equipment performance.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (1st Shift). Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Weekly Pay
Salary based on experience

Position Overview

In this role, you will:

Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment in real time
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues
Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives

This is a hands-on role working directly on the production floor with a focus on keeping operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and PLC issues
Work directly with PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred)
Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and improvements
Partner with production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency

Qualifications

Strong PLC troubleshooting experience required*
Experience with Allen Bradley controls preferred*
Solid electrical and mechanical background
Experience in manufacturing or automated production environments
Ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and independently
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and move throughout the facility for extended periods
Frequent bending, reaching, and working with equipment
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
